73 Vogue Style Questions Tag
When this Vogue-style questions tag post is published, I’ll be back home after a 30-hour journey across the world (and polluting the atmosphere – sorry!). Singapore isn’t that far from Philadephia, but my layover in London Heathrow Airport is 11 hours! There are worst places to spend 11 hours, so I’m not complaining.
Anyway, because my attention is all scattered between the impending trip and leaving my favorite person in the universe, I’ve decided to attempt this tag! Thank you Emily from thatweirdgirllife.com for tagging me!
So grab a coffee and I hope you’ll enjoy this easy read this beautiful Saturday!
1. What Is Your Usual Starbucks Order?
Mocha, or if it’s Christmastime, Peppermint Mocha. Hot, with cream. Coffee with chocolate? What’s not to love!
2. What does your workstation look like right now?
My workstation is a Lifetime folding table. On my right is my pen and ink in their little pots, on my right is my box of yarn. In front of me is my trusty refurbished Lenovo laptop in orange color. My workstation isn’t a minimalistic space. :p
3. All-time favorite food?
Spicy ramen.
4. Favorite author?
It has to be Stephen King. When I was in my teens, I came across The Long Walk and Misery. I can’t remember which one I read first, but I read them around the same time and fell in love. The rest is history. I know, don’t ask me why I love stories like that.
5. What do you think of open relationships?
What is an open relationship? *Googles* Nope. It won’t work for me. I’m also all for mindfulness so I don’t like multitasking. Haha! I love putting my full attention on Anth.
To answer the question, I think open relationships are hurtful. If both parties agree to it, good for them, but I can’t see how that can be healthy. But I also know nothing. *Winks* To each his own!

I don’t play video games. I suck at them, and never got interested enough to get good at them.
7. Guilty pleasure treat?
Cup noodles! I don’t have that much of a sweet tooth, but I love my msg and chemical-laden instant noodles packaged in unsustainable plastic containers. A guilty pleasure indeed!
8. Favorite film?
How about 10 favorite films? I love films and I find that I love different things about each film. I can’t choose!
9. Favorite book?
Same answer as above, but my favorite books include Song of Ice and Fire, Greyhound, Lost Continent, Lisey’s Story, The Green Mile, Neverwhere, To Kill A Mockingbird and The Terror.
10. Twitter or Instagram?
I thought I’d love Twitter more but it gets cluttered fast. Like if I don’t check it for two days, I’ll be lost. So I’d pick Instagram because it’s also my photo album.
11. Desktop or laptop?
Laptop. Forever. I love mobility.
12. Best advice you’ve ever received?
This too shall pass.
Good or bad, it passes. It’s not only hopeful and practical, but it also reminds me not to get too attached to things and people. It’s tattooed on my left wrist.

My friend tricked me into thinking he’s treating me to dinner. When we got to the restaurant, my entire immediate family was there. It was really sweet.
37. What’s a surprise that’s made you cry?
I was young and silly, a then-boyfriend gave me a ring with little diamonds on it for an occasion – can’t remember what. I wasn’t that into him. We broke up eventually and I gave the ring to my sister.

By single-mindedly pursuing self-knowledge. It wasn’t done to impress me, but it impressed me nevertheless.

Have dinner at a quiet place together. It’s the best way to find out if you like talking to this person or not. If you don’t, you know not to have a second date.
51. The worst thing to do on a first date?
Go to a noisy club. I mean, dancing and drinking are fun, but if you’re looking for a serious relationship, that can set things off on the wrong foot. Like you may fall in love physically instead of mentally, and that can be such a pain.

Belle. The reader who fell in love with the beast who captured her.
Anth likes to mess with me by telling me Belle had Stockholm syndrome. That may be true, but I think it’s also a story about how people aren’t entirely bad, and sometimes we just need someone who sees the good in us and helps us see it too – that’s Belle for the beast.

A lot of names come to mind, but my inferiority complex tells me that I won’t be able to hold the conversation. All things aside, I’d pick Senator Bernie Sanders, I admire him very much because he’s been fighting for the same causes for decades and seems to have his heart in the right place.

Have fun!
Yay, I’m so happy you did the tag! I’m so sorry about your layover though! Phew! I hope you can have a nice long nap when you finally get home to stave off the jet lag! #24 made me aww: I’m so glad we’re friends too! 🙂 But I loved finding out all of these new things about you and your opinions on things, too. It’s very eye-opening and such a good reminder that people are so deep and complex (in a good way, of course!). I can imagine you and Bernie Sanders having a VERY interesting coffee chat! I bet you two could figure some stuff out and get things done! lol. And please sign me up for you minimalism class if you do decide to teach it 😉
I had such a lovely time reading this! And yes to kittens! Always kittens! But that doesn’t mean I’m NOT going to pet a puppy if I see one 😉

I had many long nice naps. 🙂 I kinda love jet lags because it makes me soooo sleepy. Haha! Thank you for having more confidence in me than I do, getting things done would do me a lot of good! Thanks for the support, you’ll probably be the only one in the class! But I’ll still teach, if I had the chops to. :p
Can’t wait to hear your update about the kitten adoption! 🙂
